TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
3-point mounting
is askew.
PTO shaft dam-
aged.
Noise in gearbox. - Clearance between gears too

Cause
- Rotary tiller is not on horizontal
level.
- Lower link arms of tractor not
on the same level.
- PTO shaft does not rotate
properly.
- Insufficient lubrication.

or stuck.

- Adjust the clearance.
- Replace the bearing.
- Replace the gear.
- Take the foreign matter out of the
chain box.
- Adjust the tension of the chain.
- Replace the chain and chain
wheel.
- Replace the bearing.
- Replace the gear or the bearing.
- Adjust the clearance between the
gears.
- Correct or replace the shaft. Clear
all grass from the shaft.
- Remove the grass or adjust the till-
age depth. Clear away stones
from the field.
- Mount the blade in correct direc-
tion.
- Replace the blades. Clear away
stones from the field. Lower the
tiller down onto the soil smoothly.
- Raise the tiller when turning on
corners.
