TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
3-point mounting
is askew.
PTO shaft dam-
aged.
Noise in gearbox. - Clearance between gears too

chain box.
Shaft does not ro-
tate freely.
Poor tilling result. - Shaft twined with grass or the

or bent.
Cause
- Rotary tiller is not on horizontal
level.
- Lower link arms of tractor not
on the same level.
- PTO shaft does not rotate
properly.
- Insufficient lubrication.
- Angle of connection too large
or stuck.
- Rotary tiller dropped onto the
soil too sharply.

- Correct or replace the shaft. Clear
all grass from the shaft.
- Remove the grass or adjust the till-
age depth. Clear away stones
from the field.
- Mount the blade in correct direc-
tion.

tiller down onto the soil smoothly.
- Raise the tiller when turning on
corners.
