PRIOR TO USE

Installing the headstock on the main body
Due to packaging reasons, the appliance cannot be delivered fully assembled. Attach the
headstock on the main body with the bolts provided. Make sure to fit the spring washers on
the bolts, and tighten the bolts firmly.
Mounting the blades
The left-bent blades and right-bent blades work in a stagger state on the whole blade shaft so
that only one blade enters into the soil at a time. This way the rotary tiller is in balance the
whole time, and the end result will be even. Follow strictly the mounting marks on the blade
discs. Do not mount the blades in reverse direction which makes the back of the blades enter
into the soil. This might cause overload and damage to the appliance.
Connecting to the tractor
1. Raise the lower link arms to appropriate height and back up the tractor to align the lower
link arms with the pins on the rotary tiller.
2. Connect the left lower link arm first, then connect the right lower link arm. Adjust the height
if necessary by adjusting the length of the lift arms. Secure with pins.
3. Connect the top link of tractor to the rotary tiller and secure with a pin.
4. Finally, connect the PTO shaft.
Adjusting the height
Lower the rotary tiller until the blades are near the ground. Check that the distance of the
right side blades and left side blades to the ground is same. If not, then adjust the right lower
link arm to level off the blade shaft, which ensures the uniformity of working depth.
Adjust the rotary tiller to desired tillage depth, and make sure the universal coupling and PTO
shaft are level.

OPERATION

WARNING! Tractor PTO shield and all tiller guards must be in place at all times during opera-
tion.
Preparing the rotary tiller
Add gear oil to the gearbox and side chain box. Lubricate the cross and bearing seat on the
blade shaft. Check the tightness of all bolts and nuts, and tighten if necessary. If blades are
deformed or cracked, they must be replaced.
Start the tractor. Raise the tiller so that the blade tips are 150–200 mm from the ground.
Allow the tractor to run for 1–2 minutes. Then slowly lower the tiller until it reaches the tillage
depth. Engage PTO. Increase the engine speed so that the PTO rotates at 540 rpm. Begin tilling
at low gear and slow speed. Use a higher gear only if the tilling result allows that. Make sure
to maintain PTO speed at 540 rpm. After tilling the first 10–15 meters, stop the tractor and
check the tilling result. Adjust the tiller if necessary. Do not make sharp turns or attempt to
back up while tiller is on the ground. Do not engage PTO with tiller raised. Do not engage PTO
at full speed.
