Installation of the Electrode
2.1.1 1.5" Plumbing
You will need to use a 2" to 1.5" reducer bushing (not provided). Take a hacksaw and
cut 9 ½ inches out of the pipe after the filter. The electrode can be installed horizontally or
vertically. Take the male half of each male union, clean them and then cement them on the
bushing/reducer provided (Figure 3). Then, clean and cement the above assembly component
onto to the remaining pipe ends after your pool filter (Figure 4). Slide in the electrode and
hand tighten the female union to the male union.
