Problem
• The volume is too soft.
• The sound quality is poor.
• The rhythm stops unexpectedly or will not play.
• The recorded data of the song, etc. does not play
correctly.
• The LCD display suddenly goes dark, and all
panel settings are reset.
Power suddenly and unexpectedly turns off.
When the instrument is turned on, power is turned
off suddenly and unexpectedly.
The application on your smart device doesn't rec-
ognize the instrument.
Some notes don't sound properly when playing
back a User Song using A-B Repeat.
Possible Cause and Solution
The batteries are low or dead. Replace all six batteries with completely
new ones, or use the included AC adaptor.
This is normal and the Auto Power Off function may have been activated
(page 13). If you need to disable the Auto Power Off function, select
"Off" in the Function settings (Function 062; page 57).
The protection circuit has been activated due to over current. This may
occur when an AC adaptor other than the one specified is used, or an
AC adaptor is damaged. Use the specified adaptor (page 91) only. If it
should appear to be malfunctioning, discontinue use immediately and
have it inspected by qualified Yamaha service personnel.
Is Storage Mode set to ON? Make sure that Storage Mode is set to
OFF; refer to "Function Settings" on page 57 (Function 058).
This is normal. It takes time to reset DSP settings every repeat when
playing back a User Song using A-B Repeat. To prevent this from occur-
ring, try the following when recording.
• Turn off the DSP
• Use other Voices
