    Heat from the source or from laser absorption may ignite flammable gases or reactive materials in purge gas. Some detectors that can be used with the Nicolet AEM must be cooled with liquid nitrogen before use. Follow your organization’s Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and handling guidelines when working with liquid nitrogen.
