The Blueair 511 fan may sound like it is hitting the sides because it makes an odd, scratchy rattle similar to a PC case fan with failing ball bearings. This suggests a possible mechanical issue or cost-cutting in fan construction.

I cleaned the 511 as directed and changed the filters. The three top (circle) bars still light up red. Now that changes were made as directed and cleaned too why aren’t the three bars on top the color blue instead of red?

The three top bars on the Blueair Blue Pure 511 remain red after cleaning and changing the filters because the filter indicator has not been reset. After replacing the main filter, you must press the button for 15 seconds until the light turns white to reset the filter indicator.

The Blueair Blue Pure 511 may not turn on due to the following reasons:
1. Power Supply Issues – Ensure that the power cable and plug are not damaged and are properly connected to a working power outlet. 2. Safety Precautions – The device should only be used indoors and must be disconnected from power before maintenance. If any safety feature prevents operation, check for proper setup. 3. Filter Installation – Ensure the filter and pre-filter are correctly installed and locked in place. The device may not function if the filter is not properly secured. 4. Maintenance Reset – If the filter indicator is active, reset it by holding the button for 15 seconds until the light turns white. 5. Electrical Damage – If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified service agent.
If the issue persists, contact Blueair support or a qualified technician.
