Danger!
Always use the push stick if the dis-
tance between saw blade and rip
fence is less than 120 mm.

Note:
If the push stick is not needed it can be
fastened via the clip (57) to the fence
extrusion.
4. Start motor.
5. Guide the workpiece slowly along
the rip fence up to the saw blade
and cut in a single pass.
6. Turn machine off if no further cutting
is to be done immediately after-
wards.

Note:
If you do not need the rip fence you can
hang it via the hole (62) on the suspen-
sion bolt (63) on the front right table leg
for easy access.

1. Set the rear end of the rip fence
(64) at a position corresponding to
the midpoint (66) between the saw
spindle (65) and the saw blade tip
(67).

Caution!
After every cutting operation use the
push stick to guide the workpiece
carefully between the saw blade and
the rip fence to the rear area of
the saw table and remove it from the
table.
Setting the rip fence for cutting
boards
1. Set the rear end of the rip fence
(68) to the maximum possible
length, or at least such that it is in
line with the saw spindle (69).

Setting the rip fence as a stock stop
for cross-cutting
For cutting narrow workpieces you can
use the rip fence as a stock stop.
1. Fold the mitre fence (72) out onto
the table.
2. Set the rear end of the rip fence
(70) such that it is in line with the
saw blade tip (71).

If the workpiece is wedged it can be
flung out uncontrolledly. Adjust the
rip fence such that the workpiece
ends are not simultaneously contac-
ting the saw blade and the rip fence.
