PN (LAN) LEDs
The LEDs on the front of the CPU in the area "PN (LAN)" show the current state of the interfaces
for configuration on PROFINET IO (or Industrial Ethernet).

Meaning
Interface controller at interface X1 signals an error or maintenance
requirement.
•
One or more communication partners (e.g. I/O devices) at this in‐
terface signal maintenance required.
•
One or more communication partners (e.g. I/O devices) at the first
interface X1 have one or more errors.
Connection at the interface (Xn) via port (Pn)
•
Connection exists between the port of the interface and a commu‐
nication partner.
•
Data is being sent or received via the port.
•
No connection to the network
•
No connection between the port of the PN/IE interface and the
LED off
communication partner. No data is currently being received/sent via
the port.
Connection at the interface (Xn) via port (Pn)

There is a connection between the port of the PN/IE interface and a
communication partner.

Data is being sent or received via the port
