  • Page 4 Sicco Handschuhbox 3. Inbetriebnahme Entnehmen Sie die Handschuhbox aus Ihrer Schutzhülle und stellen sie auf eine waagerechte, ebene Arbeitsfläche. Achtung: Heben Sie die Handschuhbox beim Auspacken oder beim Transport immer am Boden und niemals an der/den Schleuse/n (siehe Foto unten).
  • Page 5 Sicco Handschuhbox Schlauchanschlüsse zur Begasung Sie können Ihre eingestellten Bauteile oder Substanzen mit einem reaktionsträgen oder inerten Gas überlagern. Die entsprechenden Schlauchanschlüsse zum Einleiten eines Gases sind werksseitig in den Seitenwänden bereits vorhanden und mit einer Überwurfmutter mit eingelegter Dichtung verschlossen. Aus verpackungs- und transport- technischen Gründen liegen die Schläuche und die Anschlussstücke der Handschuhbox bei und müssen erst montiert...
  • Page 6 Sicco Handschuhbox » Wenn Sie ein Gas verwenden, welches schwerer ist als Luft, muss der kleine Schlauch für die Gaszuführung (3) unten montiert werden. Der größere Abluftschlauch (4) muss entsprechend oben montiert werden. » Drehen Sie die vier Schrauben im Uhrzeigersinn gefühlvoll fest.
  • Page 7 Sicco Handschuhbox Achtung: Die nachfolgend aufgeführten Schritte gelten nicht für SICCO Handschuhbox für Absaugung. Dort sind Kabeldurchführungen vom Typ Iris-Port montiert. Diese dürfen bei angeschlossener Absaugung niemals dicht verschlossen werden. » Lösen Sie alle vier Zylinderschrauben durch Drehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn.
  • Page 8 Sicco Handschuhbox » Führen Sie den Stecker von innen durch das Gehäuse (10) der Wanddurchführung. » Ziehen Sie das Kabel in die gewünschte Position. Schieben Sie die geschlitzte Scheibe (9) auf das Kabel auf. » Schieben Sie den Verschluss (7) auf das Kabel auf.
  • Page 9 Sicco Handschuhbox » Schrauben Sie die vier Zylinderschrauben mit dem beiliegenden Innensechskant-Schlüssel durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn gefühlvoll fest. » Der Montagevorgang, um hartwandige Schläuche durch die Kabeldurchführung zu führen und zu befestigen, ist mit den oben beschriebenen Schritten zur Befestigung eines Kabels identisch.

Handschuhbox für Absaugung Die SICCO Handschuhbox für Absaugung erlaubt es Ihnen, Ihre Handschuhbox direkt an eine bereits vorhandene Absaugung anzuschließen. Aus verpackungs- und transporttechnischen Gründen liegt der Anschluss-Stutzen der Handschuhbox bei und muss erst montiert werden.
  • Page 11 Sicco Handschuhbox » Entnehmen Sie die rote Silikondichtung (14) von dem Verschlussdeckel (12). » Wenn Sie bei einem großen Absaugschlauch den vollen Querschnitt nutzen wollen, können Sie den Absaugstutzen mit einer feinzahnigen Säge absägen. Fixieren Sie beim Sägen den Absaugstutzen mit einer Schraubzwinge auf einer festen Unterlage.
  • Page 12 » Achtung: Während des Absaugvorganges dürfen die Iris-Port-Eingriffe nicht verschlossen werden. Die folgende Funktion ist nur bei SICCO Handschuhboxen in Ausführung Antistatik möglich. » Schließen Sie auf der Rückseite der Handschuhbox je ein Erdungskabel an die Arbeitskammer und eines an die Schleuse an.
  • Page 13 Sicco Handschuhbox » Rollen Sie die Handschuhe vom Haltering herunter. » Ziehen Sie die neuen Handschuhe auf den Haltering auf. Die Handschuhe sind Verschleißteile und müssen regelmäßig ausgetauscht werden. Aufgrund der vielen unterschiedlichen Anwendungsfälle kann hier kein Intervall festgelegt werden, dies liegt in der Verantwortung des Anwenders.

    Auf – und Abstreifen der Handschuhe entstehen. Achtung: Da sich die Dichtkugel ausschließlich durch ihr » Eigengewicht absenkt, bietet das SICCO Gas-Spar-Ventil keinen absoluten Schutz vor Gasverlust. Bei vorsichtigen Bewegungen in der Handschuhbox kann die Gaszufuhr auf ein Minimum reduziert, beziehungsweise ganz unterbrochen werden.

SICCO Glove Boxes provide safe handling of toxic materials, allow production of chemical compounds and protect sensitive substances from the environment. Optionally, the chamber can be flooded with an inert gas and a special atmosphere can be created.

  • Page 21 Sicco Glove Box Swapping with Gas The substances and components which are stored in the glove box can be swapped with gas. The corresponding bores to lead in the gas are located on the side walls and are factory-made. For technical reasons (packing and transport), the tubing and the connecting pieces are enclosed in delivery but not yet mounted.
  • Page 22 Sicco Glove Box » If the gas used for swapping is heavier than air the smaller tubing for gas-filling (3) has to be assembled on the lower cable lead-ins. The lager aeration tubing (4) has to be assembled on the upper cable lead-ins.
  • Page 23 Glove Box Attention: The following steps shall not be applied to SICCO Glove box for exhaustion. The SICCO Glove box for exhaustion has iris-port cable lead-ins. Those iris-ports must never be closed during use to guarantee a sufficient supply air.
  • Page 24 Sicco Glove Box » Guide the plug from inside the glove box through the housing (10) of the cable lead-in. » Pull the cable of your electrical device until the required position is reached. Slide the clamp ring (9) on the cable.
  • Page 25 Sicco Glove Box » Fix the four fastening screws by turning them carefully clockwise. » The assembly of a rigid tubing is identical to the assembly of a cable. Just follow the above mentioned steps. Transfer Chamber (only for models with transfer chamber).
  • Page 26 Glove Box for Exhaustion The SICCO Glove Box for exhaustion can be connected directly to an existing exhaust system through the integrated connector. For technical reasons (packing and transport) the connector is enclosed in delivery but not yet mounted. The assembly is quite easy.
  • Page 27 Sicco Glove Box » Remove the red silicone sealing (14) from the cover lid (12). » If you want to use the whole cross section of your suction hose you can saw off the connector. Use a fine-toothed saw for this step.
  • Page 28 Sicco Glove Box » The connector is graded so that tubes with inner diameters of 100, 120, 160 and 180 mm can be assembled. » The iris-ports can be replaced with new ones (available as accessory, cat.-no. V 1976-07). You can remove them by slightly rotating them and simultaneously pull them off the inlet port.
  • Page 29 Sicco Glove Box » Remove the glove from the holding ring. » Slide the new glove onto the holding ring. The gloves are wearing parts and have to be exchanged regularly. Due to the diversity of possible applications, a period cannot be defined.

    Attention: Since the sealing ball only drops because of its own » weight the SICCO Gas-saving valve does not provide a complete protection against the loss of gas. However if moved carefully inside the glove box the gas consumption can be reduced to a minimum respectively can completely be interrupted.

  • Page 36 Sicco Boîtes a gants 3. Mise en service Déballez la boîte à gants et mettez-la sur une surface plane et horizontale. Attention: Lors du déballage ou transport, prélevez la boîte à gants toujours par le fond et jamais par le(s) chambre(s) de transfert.
  • Page 37 Sicco Boîtes a gants Recouvrement avec gaz Vous avez la possibilité de recouvrir les produits dans la boîte à gants avec gaz. Les passe-câbles appropriés pour l´addition du gaz sont pré-montés dans les panneaux latéraux et fermés par un écrou avec une garniture d‘étanchéité.
