follow the instructions for connecting and disconnecting via USB to
avoid file corruption and data loss.

Connect External Devices

Swipe down from the status bar at the top of the Home screen to access the
notification panel.

Tap "USB debugging connected" at the bottom of the notification panel.
3.
Then input USB Preferences in the search block.

In the USB Preferences menu, configure the USB connection.

File transfer: Transfer files between your device and external devices

USB tethering: Share Wi-Fi from your device with external devices via a USB
cable

MIDI: Set USB to function as MIDI input for musical applications
–
PTP: Set USB to use the Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) to transfer media
files if Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) is not supported
–
No data transfer: Disable data transfers
