7.1 Gas ballast
DANGER
If vaporous media are transferred, the formation of con-
densate in the pump heads can be minimized by open-
ing the gas ballast valve.
The final vacuum that can be achieved is worse when
the gas ballast valve is open (see the chapter entitled 6
Technical data [} 20]).
Personal injury through poisoning or
explosion and damage to the pump

When the gas ballast valve is open,
make sure that no reactive or ex-
plosive mixtures can form.

Close the gas ballast valve if nec-
essary.

If inert gas is necessary, contact
KNF Service.
