16 With the antenna rod in a perfectly vertical position, tighten the metal cap by hand as much as
possible.
17 With a 10 in. adjustable wrench or a 1" open-end wrench, tighten the metal cap no more than
an additional 1/2 turn.
18 Connect the coaxial cable to the antenna connector on the radio. Tighten the coupling ring
fingertight; do not use pliers.
