OPERATION

TROUBLE SHOOTING

PROBLEM
Uneven or no spray from tips. y
Leaking floor tool. g
Solution pump will not operate.
Poor or no vacuum suction.
Water not heating. g

CAUSE
Dirty or plugged spray tips.
Improper spray tip size or spray angle. Replace with proper tips. Also check
Worn spray tips.
Quick coupler on floor tool faulty.
Flow control valve leaking.
Hose split or fittings loose.
Quick coupler and plug not fully
engaged.
Valve stem worn.
Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped
in building.
Faulty pump switch.
Loose wiring to solution pump.
Faulty solution pump motor.
Thermal overload activated–motor is
too hot and will automatically shut
down until cool.
Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped
in building.
Faulty vacuum switch.
Drain hose plug open or loose.
Lint is clogging float shutoff screen.
Air is leaking around clear cover lids.
Vacuum hose is loose.
Holes in vacuum hose or hose cuffs
loose on the hose.
Faulty vacuum motor.
Faulty vacuum gasket.
Float shut–off activated.
Thermostat failed.
Loose wires to heater.
Limit Thermostat breaker tripped or
has failed.

SOLUTION
Clean or replace tips.
alignment of spray tips so all tips
spray in a straight line.
Replace spray tips.
Replace quick coupler.
Install valve rebuild kit or contact
Service Center.
Replace hose and tighten fittings.
Reconnect quick coupler.
Replace or contact Service Center.
Replace fuse or reset breaker.
Replace faulty switch.
Consult wiring diagram and repair the
wire.
Replace solution pump motor.
Let motor cool and check what caused
overheat.
Find out if other appliances are
plugged into same cIrcuit. Replace
fuse or reset breaker. Plug extractor
into a less heavily loaded circuit.
Replace faulty switch.
Plug drain hose and tighten knob.
Remove recovery cover and clean lint
off screen.
Tighten tank lids.
Push hose firmly onto recovery tool
and onto front of extractor.
Replace hose or thread cuffs securely
onto hose.
Replace vacuum motor.
Replace gasket.
Empty recovery tank.
Replace Thermostat.
Consult wiring diagram and repair.
Reset Limit Thermostat or replace.
