WARNING:

mended by the manufacturer of this product. The use of
attachments or accessories not recommended can result

WARNING:
Always inspect mower for missing or damaged parts and
blades for damage, uneven, or excessive wear prior to
use. Use of the mower with damaged or missing parts
can result in serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Always disconnect battery pack and remove start key
from your tool when you are assembling parts, making
adjustments, cleaning, or when not in use. Following
these instructions will prevent accidental starting that
could cause serious personal injury.
NOTICE:
Before each use, inspect the entire product for damaged,
missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps,
etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not
operate this product until all missing or damaged parts
are replaced. Please contact customer service or an
authorized service center for assistance.
APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for the purpose listed below:
„ Mowing your lawn
WARNING:
With the exception of using the self-propelled feature to
relocate the mower to the mowing site, always disconnect
battery pack and remove the start key when moving or
transporting the mower to avoid accidental starting that
could result in serious personal injury.
CONNECTING THE 80V BATTERY
See Figure 10
When shipped from the factory, the mower's battery is
disconnected.
To connect:
„ Raise the cover to gain access to the compartment below.
„ Remove the start key.
„ Install the battery pack's quick-connect plugs. This plug
connects the battery to the mower.
OPERATION
NOTE: Be sure the battery latch is locked to secure the
battery.
„ Lower the battery cover.
NOTE: Make sure the battery compartment cover is
securely closed.

STARTING/STOPPING THE MOWER

See Figures 11 - 13.
NOTE: Mower will not start without the start key installed,
the battery in the unit and the quick-connect plug connected.
„ Unfold the handle assembly by lifting the lever on the
handle crossbar.
NOTE: The mower will not start if the handle assembly
is not in the operating position.
„ Raise the battery cover.
„ Insert the start key into the slot inside the battery com-
partment.
„ Lower the battery cover and make sure it is securely
closed.
„ Engage the bail and press the start button to start the
motor and blades.
„ Release the bail to stop the motor.
NOTE: The motor and blades will also start if the lever is
engaged first and the start button is pressed afterwards.

SELF-PROPELLED MOWING

See Figure 12.
WARNING:
Never engage the blades when transporting the mower
from one location to another. Only engage the blades by
pressing the start button when you are ready to mow.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious
personal injury.
The self-propel paddle can be adjusted to seven different
positions allowing for a more comfortable angle of use.
„ To adjust, slide the button back as shown.
„ Adjust the paddle up or down to find the most comfort-
able position.
„ Release the button and move the paddle up and down
slightly to make sure it is locked into position.
„ Once the paddle has been adjusted, the self-propelled
feature is engaged by pushing the self-propel paddle
downward.
„ To disengage the self-propelled feature, release the self-
propel paddle.
„ Press the paddle located on back of upper controls to
increase the speed.
