Operating Instruction

Assembling headband
Assembling headband - Step 1

  1. Attach the under headband to the headlamp as illustrated in diagram (1) by first sliding the band down to the bottom of the slot, and then hooking the top edge under the top slot as shown in diagram (2). And attach the under headband by first sliding the band down to the battery case as the same way indicated above.

  2. Adjust the headband.
  3. Attach the USB cable buckles to fix the cable onto the headband as illustrated in diagram (3).

  4. Slide one end of the top headband into the headlamp holder and the other end into the battery case.

Battery Installation

Uncover the silicone cover, and install four AA batteries while observing the positive and negative marks on the battery case. After installation, cover the battery case with the silicone cover.

NOTE

  1. Ensure batteries are inserted properly by observing the positive and negative marks indicated in the battery case. The HA40 will not operate with incorrectly inserted batteries.
  2. Avoid direct eye exposure.
  3. When it is stored in a backpack or for long term storage, take all the batteries out.

On/Off

Turn On: When the light is off, press and hold the headlamp switch for 0.5 second, and the headlamp will enter the previously used mode. Turn off: When the light is on, press and hold the headlamp switch to turn the light off. Direct access to the ultralow mode: When the light is off, tap the headlamp switch to enter ultralow mode. Direct access to the turbo mode: When the light is off, press and hold the headlamp switch for 1.5 seconds to enter Turbo (1000lumens).

Changing Brightness levels

When the light is on, tap the headlamp switch repeatedly to cycle through "Ultralow- Low-Mid-High-Turbo". (The HA40 memorizes its previously used brightness level. When the light is turned off, hold and press the switch for 0.5 second, and it will return to the previously used brightness level)

Accessing Special modes (Caution Light/SOS/ Beacon)

When the light is off, quickly tap the headlamp switch twice to turn on the caution light. After the caution light is turned on, tap the switch repeatedly to cycle through "SOS-Beacon-Caution Light". Press and hold the switch to exit. (Special modes cannot be memorized)

ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation)

With Advanced Temperature Regulation module, the HA40 regulates its output and adapts to the ambient environment, maintaining optimal performance.

Changing Batteries

Change the batteries when the output appears to be dim, or the Turbo and High modes can no longer be accessed.

Warranty Service

All NITECORE ® products are warranted for quality. DOA/defective products can be exchanged for replacement through a local distributor/dealer within the 15 days of purchase. After 15 days, all defective / malfunctioning NITECORE ® products will be repaired free of charge for a period of 60 months from the date of purchase. After 60 months, a limited warranty applies, covering the cost of labor and maintenance, but not the cost of accessories or replacement parts. The warranty is nullified in all of the following situations:

  1. The product(s) is/are broken down, reconstructed and/or modified by unauthorized parties.
  2. The product(s) is/are damaged through improper use.
  3. The product(s) is/are damaged by leakage of batteries.
