NOTE: The above data has been measured in accordance with the international flashlight testing standards ANSI/NEMA FL1, using 1xIMR 18650 battery (3.6V, 3100mAh), 1x18650 battery (3.7V 3500mAh) or 2xCR123 batteries (3V, 1700mAh) under laboratory conditions. The data may vary in real-world use due to different battery use or environmental conditions.
* Runtime for Turbo or High Mode is calculated based on theoretical arithmetic.
* The Turbo 1800 lumens requires the use of rechargeable IMR18650 or 18650 Li-ion batteries with output current higher than 8A. The Turbo is not accessible with CR123A or RCR123A batteries.

Operating Instructions

Battery Installation
Insert battery with the positive poles pointing forward as illustrated in the diagram.
Note: After battery installation, the power indicator beneath the power switch will blink to indicate battery voltage. Please refer to the "Power Tips" section of this manual for details.
Battery Installation

  1. Ensure batteries are inserted with the positive (+) end pointing to the head. The EC23 will not operate with incorrectly inserted batteries.
  2. Avoid direct eye exposure.
  3. When the power level of IMR18650 Li-ion battery is low, please stop using and recharge the battery.
  4. When the EC23 is kept in a backpack, please loosen the tailcap to prevent accidental activation of the flashlight; When the EC23 is left unused for extended periods of time, please remove all batteries to prevent battery leakage.

ON/OFF

Turn on: press the side switch to turn on the light.
Turn off: press the side switch again to turn off the light
Instant Ultralow: With the EC23 is switched off, press the switch for 0.5 second until the ultralow mode is displayed (1 lumen), release to maintain constant illumination.
Instant Turbo: With the EC23 switch off, press and hold the switch for 1.5 seconds until the Turbo mode is displayed (1800 lumens), release to maintain constant illumination. If one continuously holding down the switch, the EC23 will enter momentary Turbo.

Adjusting Brightness Levels

Within 3 seconds after the EC23 is switched on, press and hold the switch to cycle through brightness levels of Ultralow-Low-Medium-High-Turbo. To select a desired brightness level, simply release the switch when that level is displayed. This mode provides an intelligent memory function to ensure direct access to the previously used brightness level when the EC23 is reactivated.
Quick access to Turbo: Over 3 seconds after the EC23 being switched on, long press the switch to enter Turbo and release to return to the previously used brightness level.

Special Strobe / SOS mode and Location Beacon

Press the button for three times in quick succession in any state to enter Strobe mode. When in strobe mode, press the switch all the way down and hold for more than one second to cycle through SOS-Location Beacon-Strobe modes. To exit any of these special modes, simply press the button again. The EC23 does not have a memory function for special modes.

ATR(Advanced Temperature Regulation)

With Advanced Temperature Regulation module, the EC23 regulates its output and adapts to the ambient environment, maintaining optimal performance.
Note: When the EC23 is overheated, the Turbo cannot be turned on.

Power Tips

  1. When the light is on, the blue power indicator beneath the switch will blink once every two seconds when power levels reach 50%.
  2. When the light is on, the blue power indicator will blink quickly when power levels are low.
  3. Each time batteries are inserted, the blue power indicator will blink in varying patterns to indicate battery voltage (accurate to ±0.1V). For example, when battery voltage is at a maximum charge of 4.2V, the power indicator will blink 4 times in quick succession, followed by a one second pause, and then two more blinks, thus indicating the battery voltage detected is 4.2V. Different voltages represent the corresponding remaining battery power levels:
    Power Tips

NOTE: When using 2×CR123/RCR123 in series, the EC23 only reports the average voltage.

Replacing Batteries

Batteries should be replaced when any of the followings occurs: The power indicator blinks rapidly, output appears to be dim or the flashlight becomes unresponsive.

Maintenance

Every 6 months, threads should be wiped with a clean cloth followed by a thin coating of siliconbased lubricant.
