Risk of damage to pump or other equipment.
• Always check the power cord and electric receptacle for damage or corrosion before each use. The power cord on
these units cannot be replaced. If damaged, replace the pump.
• Do not let the unit run dry (without liquid). It is designed to be cooled by pumping fluid. The seal may be dam-
aged and the motor may fail if the pump is allowed to run dry.

2. Disconnect power to primary pump.
3. Ensure the gate valve in the discharge line is open.
4. Run water into basin until the backup pump is activated.
5. Make sure that the backup pump is functioning as intended.
• Confirm that no potential obstructions exist that could inhibit switch operation.
• Verify the ON/OFF levels are within specification.
6. Drain the basin.
7. Disconnect power to the charger.
8. Run water into the sump basin to ensure the backup pump still functions as intended.
• Confirm that spray from the air bleed hole is captured within the basin.
