3.2. Installation dimension

Install at least 20 mm from the ceiling.
Provide a service access for inspection purposes as shown below.
Do not place any wiring or illumination in the service space, as they will impede service.

3.3. Installing the unit

Install the air conditioner in a location which can withstand a load of at least 5 times
the weight of the main unit and which will not amplify sound or vibration. If the
installation location is not strong enough, the indoor unit may fall and cause injuries.
Confi rm the directions of the air intake and outlet before installing the unit.
The unit takes in air from the evaporator side, and expels it from the fan side.

Fasten the unit securely with special nuts A and B.
3.3.2. Leveling
Use the procedure in the following fi gure to adjust the levelness.

The side A of the unit with the drain port should be slightly lower than the opposite side B
of the unit. The height difference between sides A and B should be from 0 to 20 mm.

Follow the procedure in the following fi gure to install the ducts.

Spacing between fl ange and drain pan.
To prevent people from touching the parts inside the unit, be sure to install grilles on
the inlet and outlet ports. The grilles must be designed in such a way that cannot be
removed without tools.
The static pressure outside the unit is as follows.
ARXC036 Model: 0 to 200 Pa
If an intake duct is installed, take care not to damage the temperature sensor (the
temperature sensor is attached to the intake port fl ange).
Install the air inlet grille for air circulation. The correct temperature can not be
detected.

When connecting the duct, perform duct-insulation that is appropriate for the installing
environment.
Inappropriate insulation work may cause condensation on the surface of the insulating
material, and may lead condensation drip.
Be sure to install the air fi lter in the air inlet. If the air fi lter is not installed, the heat
exchanger may be clogged and its performance may decrease.
