Error messages

If the unit detects a problem, one of the following messages is shown on the display.

System is busy. Please
try again later.
Don't use this battery. L A wrong type of batteries such as Alkaline or
Error!!
Insert battery
Invalid
No link to base.
Reconnect AC adaptor.

Cause/solution
L The called handset is in use.
L Other units are in use and the system is busy.
Try again later.
L The handset you are using is too far from the
base unit. Move closer and try again.
L A line is being used by another handset. A
cellular line and the landline cannot be used at
a time.
L You tried to join the outside call on the cellular
line. Only an existing outside call on the
landline can be joined.
L The handset's registration may have been
canceled. Re-register the handset (page 34).
Manganese was inserted. Use only the
rechargeable Ni-MH batteries noted on page
6, 13.
L The handset's registration has failed. Move
the handset and base unit away from all
electrical appliances and try again.
L The handset was placed on the charger
without batteries. Insert the batteries properly
(page 13, 14).
L There is no handset registered to the base
unit matching the handset number you
entered.
L The handset is not registered to the base unit.
Register the handset (page 34).
L No cellular phone is registered to the base
unit. Register a cellular phone (page 17).
L The handset has lost communication with the
base unit. Move closer to the base unit and try
again.
L Unplug the base unit's AC adaptor to reset the
unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again.
L The handset's registration may have been
canceled. Re-register the handset (page 34).
