Introduction

VOX designed the first Wah Wah Pedal in 1967. It has been the choice of legendary players the world over.
To help you get the most out of your new instrument, please read this manual carefully.

Battery installation

Remove the 4 screws from the rubber feet that secure the bottom cover. And then install a 9-volt battery (6F22/6LF22/ 6FR61), being sure to connect the correct polarity.
If you plan on not using the pedal for an extended period of time, remove the battery to avoid damage caused by leakage.
You can connect an optional AC adapter (DC9V ) to DC9V jack.

Connection

Connect a cable from your guitar to the "Instrument" input jack on the right side of the wah-wah pedal. The input and output jacks are labeled on the top of your new wah-wah pedal.
NOTE: This pedal uses a battery which is connected when a plug is inserted into the "Instrument" jack. For longest battery life, always remove the instrument cable from jack when not in use.
Connect a cable from the "Amplifier" output jack on the left side of the wah-wah pedal to your guitar amp or the next effect pedal. A wah-wah pedal sounds very different when placed before a distortion pedal compared with after a distortion pedal. Don't be afraid to experiment!
To turn the wah-wah effect ON; push the toe of the pedal all of the way down until you feel a click. A wah-wah pedal is a sweepable bandpass filter. With the heel down, low frequencies are accentuated and, with the toe down, high frequencies are accentuated.
To turn the wah-wah effect OFF; push the toe of the pedal all of the way down until you feel a click.

Precautions

Location
Using the unit in the following locations can result in a malfunction.

In direct sunlight
Locations of extreme temperature or humidity
Excessively dusty or dirty locations
Locations of excessive vibration
Close to magnetic fields

Power supply
Please connect the designated AC adapter to an AC outlet of the correct voltage. Do not connect it to an AC outlet of voltage other than that for which your unit is intended.

Handling
To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls.

Care
If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene or thinner, or cleaning compounds or flammable polishes.

Keeping foreign matter out of your equipment
Never set any container with liquid in it near this equipment. If liquid gets into the equipment, it could cause a breakdown, fire, or electrical shock. Be careful not to let metal objects get into the equipment.
