11 Configuring measurements

For best measuring results, take the time to adjust the parameters to the object you
want to measure before taking measurements. This is especially important if you
want to accurately measure and record temperatures.

11.1 Setting temperature range

Set a temperature range that suits your working environment. A more narrow tem-
perature range gives more accurate results.
1. Select
> Measure Setting > Temp. Range.
2. Select a temperature range.
3. Touch < to save the selection.

11.2 Setting emissivity

The correct emissivity value is important to make the most accurate temperature
measurement. Set the emissivity value that corresponds to the material of the object
you want to measure.
1. Touch the parameter button
2. Select 'Emissivity'.
3. Set the emissivity value according to the following table.
