Selecting the Range Extender Mode
This feature allows the unit to improve both the sound quality and range
when using in an area with excessive interference or requiring a moderate
increase in operating range. Your phone comes from the factory set to
AUTO.
You can select the range extender to:
OFF
The range extender is not active.
ON
The range extender is active and "E" (extender icon) is displayed on
the display.
The range extender will automatically monitor the signal strength
AUTO
between the handset and base unit, and active whenever necessary.
"E" is displayed on the display when the mode is active.
Make sure that the handset is in the standby mode initially.

•Battery life may be shortened if you set the range extender to ON or AUTO.
