it ensures good stability and a deformable support.

02.4 Use Method
1. Patient should be removed from his/her position according to first‐ aid guidelines and patient should be laid down
on vacuum mattress in a way that his/her feet be laid towards the vacuum valve.
2. One of operators should be on the head side of the mattress giving the form of head and body of the patient
while the other operator should be at the feet side of the mattress giving the form of legs and feet wrapping the
mattress by holding its edges.
3. Elliptical vacuum valve should be fully closed by rotating it "clockwise" and tightened. The valve automatically
closes, in order to soften the vacuum mattress when removing patient after usage, it should be rotated "counter‐
clockwise".
4. Vacuum pump's hose adapter should be inserted to the elliptical vacuum valve, while the other hand of the hose
should be connected to the "deflate" side of the vacuum pump.
5. The other operator should help wrapping the patient's head, body and feet while the air inside the vacuum
mattress evacuates. As the air inside the mattress evacuates the vacuum mattress will become tightened up and
patient will be immobilized.
