INSPECTING THE ARMATURE
1. Measure:
• Commutator diameter a
Out of specification → Replace.
Commutator diameter limit
21.0 mm (0.83 in)
2. Measure:
• Commutator undercut a
Out of specification → Replace the
armature.
Commutator undercut limit
0.85 mm (0.03 in)
3. Inspect:
• Armature continuity
Out of specification → Replace.
