    M93ES ENGLISH TRANSPORT AND STORAGE Handling Only use lifting systems and equipment with adequate lifting capacity to handle this product. Different types of packaging can be used, depending on the size and means of transport. Unless otherwise specified, the packaging complies with the HPE guidelines.

    Use only the specified eyebolts to handle the unit. Do not use the threaded holes on the shaft ends to screw in eyebolts or other fastening systems. Ropes or chains must not come into contact with the handwheel during handling operations.

    ENGLISH DESCRIPTION General description The M93ES Montanari is a gearbox with worm gear-crown unit equipped with a chain sprocket located on the output shaft, driven by a three-phase motor through a flexible coupling. A dual action brake is installed on the unit to brake and stop the load.

    INSTALLATION General installation information Assembly and installation must be carried out with great care by qualified and trained personnel. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage caused by incorrect assembly or incorrect installation. Provide sufficient space around the unit for installation to facilitate subsequent maintenance and repair work.

    However, the manufacturer cannot guarantee the complete suitability of the selected lubricant. The oil viscosity must also be as indicated on the plate. 7.2 General operation information When operating the M93ES unit, be sure to check that the following situations do not occur: • Excessive operating temperature.

    MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR General information All maintenance and repair operations must be carried out with care and only by qualified and trained personnel. Compliance with the inspection and maintenance intervals is part of the condi- tions for the validity of the warranty. 9.2 Maintenance table The following table shows the scheduled maintenance operations.

    When changing oil, always use the same type of lubricant as that contained in the M93ES. Do not mix different types of oil, or oils from different manufacturers. Do not mix synthetic oils with mineral oils or other types of synthetic oil.

    Thread Tightening torque (Nm) 9.4 Lubricants For its units, Montanari only approves CLP oils that contain ingredients according to DIN 51517-3, for increased corrosion protection, durability and reduced wear in mixed friction zones. We recommend that customers use one of the lubricants listed in the table, taking into account the viscosity grade specified on the plate.
