Chapter 1 GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1. AIM OF THE MANUAL This manual is an integral part of the machine and has been produced by the manu- facturer in order to furnish necessary information to those that are authorised to inter- act with it. In addition to adopting good use techniques, the recipients must carefully read and strictly apply this information.

Ecoplat Base Ecoplat Base The machine is supplied with an "FRD" or "net FRD" spool carriage: carriage with friction roller, mechani- cal brake and manual film stretch adjustment.
Chapter 2 TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS 2.3. WORKING CYCLE – Step 1: the operator loads the pallet on the rotary table and fixes the film to the prod- uct. – Phase 2: once the cycle has started, the rotating table starts to turn while the reel carriage unwinds film according to the set parameters.

GENERAL NORMS – During design and construction, the manufacturer has carefully considered the pos- sible hazards and personal risks that may result from interaction with the machine. In addition to observing the specific laws in force, the manufacturer has adopted all "exemplary construction technique principles".

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR HANDLING AND LOADING Accomplish handling and loading according to the instructions supplied by the manufacturer to be found on the machine and in the operating instructions. The person authorized to accomplish these operations must, if necessary, organise a "safety plan"...

The diagram represents the most popular solutions. – To avoid sudden movements, during transportation anchor the machine to the transportation means in a correct manner.

Chapter 4 INFORMATION ON HANDLING AND INSTALLATION 4.8. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CONNECTIONS Connections should be performed following the manufacturer’s indications in the enclosed diagrams. Personnel authorised to perform this operation must possess technical skills, abilities and have acquired certified experience in the specific field and must perform connections professionally, taking into account all the regulative and legislative requirements.
Chapter 5 ADJUSTMENT INFORMATION 5.1. ADJUSTMENT RECOMMENDATIONS Before performing and type of adjustment, activate all foreseen safety devices and evaluate the need to warn operating personnel and those in the near vicin- ity. In particular, adequately mark the surrounding areas and prevent access to all devices that could, if activated, cause unexpected personal safety hazards.

TABLE ROTATION CHAIN ADJUSTMENT For this operation, proceed in the following way. 1 -Remove the cover guard (A). 2 - Loosen gear motor lock screws (B). 3 - Use the register screw (C) to adjust the chain. 4 - Tighten the reducer fastening screws (B) when finished.

ROTATING TABLE WHEEL ADJUSTMENT Only for machines model "Eco- plat TP FRD - Ecoplat TP RS - Ecoplat TP PPS" 1 -Remove the cover guard (A). 2 - Loosen the fastening nuts (B). 3 - Loosen the screw (E). 4 - Adjust screw (D) so that wheel (C) is pressed on rotary plate by about 4 mm.

Chapter 6 INFORMATION ON USE 6.5. SWITCHING THE MACHINE ON AND OFF For this operation, proceed in the following way. 1 -Turn the main switch (A) to 1 (ON) to power. LEDs turn on to signal that the system checks the operation of the machine and display (E) shows the installed software version for a while.
Chapter 6 INFORMATION ON USE 5 - Cut the film. 6 - Remove the load and place another one on the table to start a new cycle. Caution - Precaution Do not stretch or pre-stretch the film excessively with an excessive number of wrappings in order not to damage the packs and the products contained.
Chapter 6 INFORMATION ON USE 6 - Replace toothed wheels (Z1- Z2) according to the desired pre-stretch percentage. The table lists the pre-stretch values obtainable with the proper transmission ratios. Information Set pre-stretching according to film resistance and quality to ob- tain low consumption.

Chapter 6 INFORMATION ON USE 3 - Collect the film in a thin cord and insert it between rollers. 4 - Pull the cord outwards. The film will automatically drop on the roller and cover it all along its height. Reset the film stretch or pre- stretch value in order to facilitate this operation.
Chapter 7 MAINTENANCE INFORMATION 7.1. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Danger - Warning The chapter refers only the operations that can be performed directly by the op- erator. If actions or operations not described in the chapter are necessary, contact a Service Centre authorised by the Manufacturer. Before performing any maintenance and adjustment, activate all foreseen safe- ty devices and evaluate the need to warn operating personnel and those in the near vicinity.
