Releasing the plug
1. Insert the plug into the socket and push the spring down to unlock the plug and
release it from the socket again.
2. If there is not enough room, release the plug using a screwdriver (3 mm wide
blade).
Replacing the knife cassettes of the stripping tool
Note
Replace the knife cassette if the cut is not clean or after stripping approximately
• 1500 operations on cables with PVC outer jackets
• 150 operations on cables with PUR outer jackets
Note
The insulation piercing contacts of the IE FC RJ45 4x2 CAT 6A can be released and
recontacted up to ten times with the same cable cross-section.
Contacted cable ends should not be recontacted, but must be cut off.
