Differential measurements can be invaluable in managing a high purity water system. The
A1000 TOC Analysis System allows the user to compare the readings of any two Sensors at
the conclusion of each analysis in order to obtain precise and timely differential results.
One Sensor is used to compare the current (last analysis) reading with the reading of another
Sensor in order to determine the differential measurement between the two instruments. A
selected Sensor can be referenced to any other Sensor attached to the same C80 Controller,
thereby allowing their TOC or Purge measurements to be compared directly. The differential
values are then displayed on their common Controller (see
well as being output to a local (optional) printer.

Differential Setup

The Differential Mode is an extension of two Sensors' Auto TOC or the Purge Mode. Differential
measurements are performed on a primary Sensor and the secondary instrument to which it is
referenced. All other operating parameters are identical.
To place the Sensors in the Differential Mode:
1) With the primary Sensor specified in any View, press the Manual Key to display its
2) Use the Up and Down Keys to specify either Auto TOC or Purge as desired.
3) Press Enter to enable the specified Mode.
