5. Before starting the equipment

The equipment is supplied without batteries
and without a charger.
5.1 Charging the Lithium-Ion battery (not
included)
The corresponding instructions can be found
in the original operating instructions for your
charger.
5.2 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 3 / item
19)
Press the battery capacity indicator switch (19).
The battery capacity indicator (18) shows the
charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.
All 3 LEDs lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED fl ashing:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
All LEDs fl ashing:
The temperature of the battery is too low. Remove
the battery from the device and leave it at room
temperature for a day. If the error occurs again,
this means that the battery has been completely
depth-discharged and is defective. Remove the
battery from the device. Never use or charge a
defective battery.

6. Operation

The area to be cut must fi rst be cleared of stones
and other solid objects. The safety lock-off
(Fig.1/Item 3) prevents the equipment being
switched on unintentionally.
6.1 Cutting grass
Allow the grass cutter to glide over the ground.
The best cutting performance is achieved on dry
lawns.
When you notice a drop in cutting performance,
recharge at once so that the batteries do not
become fully discharged.

6.1.1 Grass shears without telescopic long
handle
The grass shears is supplied ready assembled.
1. (Fig. 4) Push the battery into the battery
mount provided (Fig. 2/Item 10) until you hear
the catch click into position. To take out the
battery, press the pushlock button (Item 20)
and remove the battery.
2. (Fig. 4) Remove the blade guard hood
(Item 9).
3. (Fig. 4) To switch on, press the safety lock-off
(Item 3) and press the On/Off switch (Item 4)
at the same time.
4. To switch off , let go of the On/Off switch.
6.1.2 Grass shears with long handle
Caution! Carry out all the following assembly,
dismantling and adjustment work without
a rechargeable battery – risk of injury. Use
protective gloves and the blade guard hood which
is supplied with the equipment.
6.1.2.1 Assembly and adjustment
1. (Fig. 5/Fig. 6) Push the wheel holder
(Fig. 2/Item 2) onto the grass shears until you
hear the catch click into position.
2. (Fig. 7/Fig. 8) Push the fi tting (Fig. 2/Item 8)
of the long handle into the battery mount of
the grass shears until you hear the catch click
into position.
3. (Fig. 8) To adjust the height, turn the locking
nut (Item 13) to the left (OPEN) and pull the
telescopic bottom handle (Item 14) out as far
as you want to meet your requirements (max.
11.8" (30 cm)). Turn the locking nut
(Item 13) to the right (LOCK) to fasten it
again.
