On the headliner in front of and above the driver, or in
some other place near the driver, you will see a label
that describes important operating facts about the
automatic transmission in your vehicle. Make sure you
follow the directions on this label. All vehicles with
automatic transmissions can be started only in the
NEUTRAL (N) position, unless equipped with the
PARK (P) position. If your engine starts in any other
position, the neutral start switch is malfunctioning.
When you shift out of NEUTRAL (N), you may have
to hold in a pushbutton on the shift lever, or lift up on a
release handle as you shift. For further information on
your transmission, see your Allison Transmission
Operator's Manual.

CAUTION:
It can be dangerous to get out of your vehicle
without the parking brake firmly set. Your
vehicle can roll. If you've left the engine running,
the vehicle can move suddenly. You or others
could be injured. To be sure your vehicle won't
move, even when you're on fairly level ground,
always set your parking brake.
CAUTION:
Shifting out of NEUTRAL (N) while your engine
is "racing" (running at high speed) is dangerous.
Unless your foot is firmly on the brake pedal,
your vehicle could move very rapidly. You could
lose control and hit people or objects. Don't shift
out of NEUTRAL (N) while your engine is racing.
