Setting up charging station and accessory holder
• Figure A: insert the accessory holder 7 sideways into the brackets below the
charging station 8 (as shown). The accessory holder allows you to keep the
comb attachments 6, the oil bottle 5 and the cleaning brush 4 to hand at all
times.
• Place the charging station on a level, non-slip surface.
• Lay the connecting cable 14 such that nobody can trip over it.
• Keep the connecting cable 14 away from hot surfaces.

Charging process
The appliance is not yet ready for operation when delivered.
Before first use, the appliance should be charged for 2 hours.
The charging time is then approx. 1 hour. "Overcharging" the appliance is not
possible.
WARNING!
Before plugging in the power supply unit 15, check that the voltage
of the wall socket corresponds to the specifications on the type
plate.
1. Plug the power supply unit 15 into a wall socket.
2. Figure C: insert the plug of the connecting cable 14 into the port in the charg-
ing station 16.
3. Place the appliance into the charging station 8. It positions itself automatically
and starts charging. The LED in the On/Off switch 1 is lit continuously. The
colour changes with the charging state from almost empty (orange) to fully
charged (green). During charging, the LED will flash every couple of seconds.

NOTE: figure B: you can also charge the appliance by plugging the plug of the
connecting cable 14 directly into the port in the appliance 10.

Cable mode
You can also use the device in cable mode, e.g. when the battery is not charged.

Operation
4.1
Switching On/Off
– To switch the appliance on, briefly press the On/Off switch 1 on top of the appli-
ance. The appliance starts to operate and the LED of the On/Off switch is lit.
– To switch the appliance off, hold down the On/Off switch 1 on top of the appli-
ance for a few seconds.
