• Use only Energizer replacement ba eries. See Technical Specifications. Other types of ba eries may
burst causing personal injury and damage.
• Charge ba ery pack in temperatures above 0ºC and below 45ºC. Store tool and ba ery pack in
locations where temperatures will not exceed 45ºC. This is important to prevent serious damage to the
ba ery cells.
• Pull the plug rather than cord when disconnecting charger or when disconnecting cords using the
daisy chain feature. This will reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord.
• Make sure that cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to
damage or stress.
• Do not use an extension cord unless it is absolutely necessary. Use of improper extension cord could
result in risk of fire or electric shock.
• Disconnect the charger from the outlet before a empting any cleaning. This will reduce the risk of
electric shock. Removing the ba ery pack will not reduce this risk.
• The charger is designed to operate on standard household electrical power (220-240 volts, 50-60 Hz
AC only). Do not a empt to use it on any other voltage.
• This power unit is intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical or floor mount position.
• Do not incinerate the ba ery pack even if it is severely damaged or is completely worn out. The
ba ery pack can explode in a fire. Toxic fumes and materials are created when lithium ion ba ery packs
are burned.
• Do not charge or use ba ery in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Inserting or removing the ba ery from the charger may ignite the dust or fumes.
• If ba ery contents come into contact with the skin, immediately wash area with mild soap and water.
• If ba ery liquid gets into the eye, rinse water over the open eye for 15 minutes or until irritation
ceases.
• If medical a ention is needed, the ba ery electrolyte is composed of a mixture of liquid organic
carbonates and lithium salts.
• Contents of opened ba ery cells may cause respiratory irritation. Provide fresh air. If symptoms
persist, seek medical a ention.
WARNING! Burn hazard. Ba ery liquid may be flammable if exposed to spark or flame.
• Charge the ba ery packs only in the charger which accompanied your product.
• DO NOT splash or immerse in water or other liquids. This may cause premature cell failure.
• Do not store or use the tool and ba ery pack in locations where the temperature may reach or exceed
45°C (such as outside sheds or metal buildings in summer).
• When ba eries are not in tool or charger, keep them away from metal objects. For example, to
protect terminals from shorting DO NOT place ba eries in a tool box or pocket with nails, screws, keys,
etc. Fire or injury may result.
• DO NOT put ba eries into fire or expose to high heat. They may explode.
