If a pin-header (of 2 or more pins) is
designed in such a way that its pins
can be closed or linked together to
set up a specific function, this header
is called a jumper in this manual.
• A Jumper is usually but not necessarily given a "JpX" legend.
• In the Jumper setting diagram, all jumper pins covered with
black marks stand for closed pins with jumper cap.

• Do not remove any jumper cap when power is on. Always
make sure the power is off before changing any jumper settings.
Otherwise, mainboard could be damaged.

2-8.2 Jp2: CPU Clock Select

1. Before setting the CPU clock by Jp2, read the Identification Legend
on the CPU, find the Max FSB and divide it by two. The result is the
default CPU clock on the CPU you are using.
2. Setting Jp2 1-2 closed is for 100/133MHz CPU.
3. Setting Jp2 2-3 closed is for 166/200MHz CPU. If you want to do
overclocking with your onboard CPU, you should start system first
and then enter "Advanced Chipset Features" of the BIOS Setup to
try CPU overclocking. If an overclock fails to reboot system, you
should execute the nVIDIA-Boot-Failure-Restart Procedure to reboot
system.
