Required equipment

The Nortel Switched Firewall system requires the following minimum components:
One Nortel Switched Firewall
The Nortel Switched Firewall can be rack-mounted in a standard 19" rack or located on a
shelf or other flat surface. Each Nortel Switched Firewall is shipped with the following
items that can be required during installation:
One standard 19-inch open-frame relay rack with two 3-inch or 6-inch posts
or
One standard 19-inch enclosed four-post cabinet
or
One tabletop
Tools and supplies to install the components

One plastic front bezel and rack-mounting brackets attached
Shelf-mounting bezel brackets
A/C power cord
Serial or console cable (DB9-M to DB9-F)
One set of four adhesive-backed rubber feet for tabletop mounting
#2 Phillips screwdriver
Straightedge
Masking tape or felt-tip pen to mark the rack mounting position
