Output 1 is Data Channel 1 and Output 2 is Data Channel 2: Full scale output is 1.0 RFU/V
software selectable multipliers of 1.0, 0.5, 0.2, 0.05, 0.02, and 0.01 providing lower RFU/V
values.
Output 3: Current Signal when Voltage is programmed; Voltage signal when either Current or
Power is programmed.

3.12 Configuring the System

The components included with the system must be configured before you can start using the
systems. Successfully configuring the hardware indicates a successful hardware/software
installation. Please refer to the P/ACE MDQ User's Guide for details on configuring the
system.

3.13 Installing the Buffer/Sample Tray

During configuration of the system, the type of tray must is entered into the software. However,
the trays must be physically installed before the system can be operated.
Before you begin tray installation, locate the following items in your ship kit:

Buffer trays (36 positions)
r
Sample tray (48 positions)
r
Well plate (96 positions)
NOTE This procedure requires 32 Karat Software to be installed and running on the system. Perform tray
installation after completing software installation. Refer to "Installing the 32 Karat Software" on page 13.

From Direct Control, click

Lift the cartridge cover door at the front of the P/ACE MDQ.

Install the 48 position sample tray or 96-well plate in the back location as shown in
Figure 3.16.
NOTE The 36-Buffer and 48-position trays only fit one way. The 96-Well Plate can be reversed.
4.
Install the 36 vial buffer trays in the forward location as shown in Figure 3.16. Refer to
