Secure server connection

The secure socket layer (SSL)
improves the security of the
connection to the e-mail account.
To activate the function, select
Menu
>
Messages
Options
>
Extra settings
Secure (SSL)
> On.
Ensure that your e-mail account
supports SSL, and that the correct
server port is set for the server to
send and retrieve e-mails.
Write and send an e-mail
You can write your e-mail message
before connecting to the e-mail
service, or connect to the service
first, and then write and send your
e-mail.
1. Select
Menu
>
mail
>
Create
2. Enter the recipient's e-mail
address, and select OK.
You can also select Edit, and
enter the e-mail address. To
search for the e-mail address in
Contacts, select
Options
> Search.
3. Write a subject for the e-mail,
and select OK.
If you select Options, you can
select the message editor, add
>
E-mail
>
>
Messages
>
E-
e-mail.

a new recipient, add a copy
recipient, or a hidden copy
recipient.
To attach a file to the e-mail,
select
Options
desired file from the Gallery.
4. Write the e-mail message. See
"Write text"
on page 25. The
number of characters that you
can enter is shown on the top
right of the display.
5. To send the e-mail message
immediately, select
Send
now.
To save the e-mail in the
Outbox
folder to be sent later,
select
Send
>
Send
To edit or continue writing your
e-mail later, select
Save
draft. The e-mail is saved
in
Other folders
To send the e-mail later, select
Menu
>
Messages
Options
>
Send now
Retrieve and
send.
Download e-mail from your
e-mail account
1. To access the e-mail
application, select
Messages
> E-mail.
2. To download e-mail messages
that have been sent to your e-
mail account, select Retrieve.

Attach
and a
Send
>
later.
Options
>
> Drafts.
>
E-mail
>
or
Menu
>
