Active standby mode

In the active standby mode, you can use the main display for fast access to frequently used applications. To
select whether the active standby is shown, select
standby
>
On
or Off.
To access active standby applications, scroll up or down, then scroll to the application, and select it. In the
active standby mode the default applications are shown across the top of the display, and calendar, to-do, and
player events are listed below. To select an application or event, scroll to it, and press the joystick.

Standby mode joystick shortcuts

By default, the phone is in the active standby mode, and the joystick shortcuts available in standby mode
cannot be used. You have to disable active standby to use the following shortcuts.
To open Contacts, scroll up or down, or press the joystick.
To open Calendar, scroll right.
To write a text message, scroll left.
To change the joystick application shortcuts:
1. Select
Menu
>
Tools
2. Scroll to the shortcut you want to change, and press the joystick.
3. Scroll to a new application, and press the joystick.
Some shortcuts may be fixed and cannot be changed.
