Determination/configuration of the IP address

In order to call the web interface of the multiple socket strip you need its IP address.

  • With DHCP server: (integrated in most routers)
The multiple socket strip is automatically assigned an IP address when it is turned on. Determine it from the settings of the DHCP server (router) and set it to assign the same IP address at every start-up.
  • No DHCP server/static IP address:
In order to read out and/or configure the IP address of the multiple socket strip, please use our computer software „BS-Finder". Go to www.brennenstuhl.com to download it for free. You will also find detailed instructions there.

Configuration/operation with web interface

LAN / WLAN application:

  • Make sure that your computer/tablet/smartphone is connected to the same network as the multiple socket strip.
  • Enter the determined IP address of the multiple socket strip into the address bar of the web browser as follows: http://"IP address"/ (e.g. http://192.168.0.100/)
  • A login window is displayed. Log in as follows (factory settings).
User name: admin - Password: admin
  • You are now in the status window of the web interface of the multiple socket strip.
  • Download a detailed manual with all possible settings for free at www.brennenstuhl.com.

INTERNET / WEB application:
The following is required to access the multiple socket strip from the Internet:

  • Internet access with static IP address or dynamic DNS server (e.g. www.noip.com)
  • Active port forwarding in the router to allow connections between the Internet and the multiple socket strip in the network.

Download a detailed manual with configuration examples for free at www.brennenstuhl.com.

Loading factory settings

Press both buttons ( + ) at the same time for approx. 5 seconds to reset the multiple socket strip to the factory settings. This may be helpful, e.g. if you lost the access data.

All settings are lost in the process!

Surge protection (optional)

The surge protection system prevents the devices connected to the power strip from being damaged by voltage spikes in the mains network which can result, e.g. from direct lightning strikes or switching on inductive loads like motors, ovens, lamps, etc. In order to function correctly, the device must be connected to an outlet with a pro perly installed protective ground.

In case of a direct lightning strike, due to the extremely high energy generated, complete protection of the connected devices cannot be guaranteed. You can get the highest level of surge protection with a multilevel concept consisting of coarse and medium protection (installation technology) together with our fine protection per EN 61643-11 type 3.

When the socket outlet is switched on, the green indicator lamp lights up, showing that the surge voltage protection circuit is active. If the green lamp doe not light up, the sockets are dead. The protective effect is not existing anymore and the multiple socket has to be sent to the manufacturer for repair as the protection device has been destroyed by very high overload.

Interference filter (optional)

The Interference filter protects sensitive alectronics, e. g. in computers, television sets and stereo systems, from highfrequency interference voltages. In this way, interference with pictures and sound is effectively suppressed.

Insurance protection for connected devices (optional)

Brennenstuhl guarantees the surge characteristics up to the technical specifications indicated on the type label of the relevant product. If the product is used correctly, Brennenstuhl assumes any repair or exchange of all devices directly connected to the surge protection product and that are proven to have been damaged by surge, if the following applies: damage must arise from the non- observance of the described protection function according to the technical specifications. For this purpose, there is an insurance protection for damage to persons and property within our product liability amounting up to 5 million euros.
