If the pump-out will be used, connect vacuum hose from extractor to top rear booster port and cap the bottom one. If not, connect hose to the bottom rear booster port and cap the top one.

However, it can be used to extract pre-sprayed solution from carpet. With both booster ports plugged, attach a carpet wand via vacuum hose and attach a garden hose to the pump-out fitting (if pump-out is to be used).
