Identify the Connectors and Attach the Cables

Identify the connectors and switches on the back panel and attach the necessary Netopia Router cables.

Port
Modem port An RJ-45 jack labeled Modem to connect to the Ethernet port of your cable or DSL
modem.
Ethernet port An RJ-45 10/100Base-T Ethernet jack. You can use this to configure the Netopia
3381-ENT. You can either connect your computer directly to an Ethernet port using the
supplied Category 5 Ethernet cable, or connect both your computer and the Netopia
3381-ENT to an existing LAN environment. The Ethernet port is auto-sensing,
eliminating the need for a crossover cable.
USB port A USB jack. You can use this to configure the Netopia 3381-ENT. You can connect your
computer directly to the USB port using the supplied USB cable.
Power port A DC power adapter cable connection.
