Tools Required
• Needle nose pliers
• Open-end wrench: 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", and 9/16" or
adjustable wrench
• Phillips screwdriver
• Tire gauge

Install Steering Wheel
1. Place extension tube onto column shaft (lubricate
shaft) at lowest position and secure with lower roll
pin.
2. Snap steering cone into dash.
3. Slide steering wheel onto extension tube and drive
roll pin through hole in steering wheel/cone and
tube. Pin should project equally on both sides of
steering wheel base.

1. Upper roll pin

Check Tire Pressure
Check tire pressure using a low pressure tire gauge.
Refer to Specifications for correct pressures.
Install Deck
1. Turn front tires all the way left and position the
mower deck underneath the tractor.
2. Slide the pin at the front of the hanger arm
assembly into the slotted brackets at the front of
the tractor frame (Figure 6).
3. Place welded stud on rear end of left hanger arm
through mounting hole in left hanger bracket.
Secure with hair pin.
4. Repeat step 3 for right hanger bracket.
5. Place deck lift lever in position one (1). Attach the
left and right adjuster links to the mounting studs
on the center lift lever.
6. Place washers over the studs and secure with
hair pins.
7. Place the mower deck drive belt around the PTO
clutch and route it to the inside of the idler.

8. Roll the belt onto the jackshaft sheave on the
e
mower deck.
9. Install the idler spring into the hole on the left
hand side of the tractor frame. Check belt
alignment.
