Cooling system TAMD103A RC

The engine cooling water is cooled by a radiator in a one-circuit cooling system. Air is forced through the radiator
by an engine driven cooling air fan. The charge air is cooled in an air-to-air charge air cooler mounted in front of
the radiator and it makes use of the air flow from the cooling fan of the engine before it enters the radiator.

Cooling system TAMD103A KC (1,5 circuit)

The cooling water for the internal engine cooling is taken from the flow through the lubrication oil cooler and the
charge air cooler. The flow through the external part of the cooling system is therefore created by the rawwater
pump instead of the freshwater pump, which is normally the case for keel cooling installations. This also means
that the maximum cooling water inlet temperature is limited by the charge air cooler. The system must be filled
with Volvo Penta coolant and can NOT be connected to a central cooling system or be directly cooled by rawwa-
ter.
