NetComm HS960 Hotspot – Firmware Upgrade Procedure
The following process outlines how to perform a HS960 firmware upgrade.
1. Connect a Windows XP based computer via Ethernet directly to one of the
LAN ports on the back of the HS960.
2. Double check that the TCP/IP protocol settings for the network card on the
Windows XP computer are set to 'Obtain an IP address automatically' i.e
DHCP client.
3. If you haven't already power on both the computer and HS960.
4. Disable any software based firewalling, should it be running on the computer.
5. Access the HS960s web-based interface by launching the Internet Explorer
web-browser and opening the address
6. When prompted type in "admin"' / "admin"' respectively for the username /
password followed by selecting the 'Login' button.
7. From the HS960s web based interface select 'System Tools' -> 'Firmware'
then the 'Browse' button.
8. Locate and select the 'HS960V1.01.01.bin' firmware upgrade file then
select the 'Apply' button to initiate the firmware upgrade.
