In addition to operating on a cellular network system, your
phone is also capable of operating on a non-public or pri-
vate telephone system. Note that the phone user must first
subscribe or have rights to a non-public or private tele-
phone system to utilize the following private mode menu
selections - Acquire New System, Search for System, and
View Stored Systems.
Acquire New System
The phone automatically searches or scans for the first avail-
able private network system by pressing

If a system is located, the phone returns to the standby state
with the private system's descriptive name or label dis-
played. The private system is now available for use and is
stored into the phone system database. If a system is not
located, the following message is displayed:

Search for System
You can set your phone to manually search for available pri-
vate network systems by pressing

If systems are located, the phone displays a list of the avail-
able systems. Use

stored in the phone system database. If no systems are
