Introduction

The Model 714-001 Speaker Amplifier Enclosure is constructed of cold-rolled steel, durable enough for
even the toughest industrial environments. This amplifier enclosure provides an undedicated terminal
strip for optional connections.
This installation information provides instructions on both the placement and mounting of amplifier
enclosures. Also included are preventive maintenance steps to extend the life of your Page/Party®
equipment, and troubleshooting procedures to help with station adjustment and checkout. Finally, a list
of replacement parts is provided should you need to perform repairs on the Model 714-001 Amplifier
Enclosure.
Installation

GENERAL INFORMATION

When installing a new system, or an add-on station, consult the system layout diagrams.
Refer to Figure 2 for wiring details. Follow the wire colors carefully - the colors noted in the figure
correspond directly to GAI-Tronics 60029 or 60038 Series Cable. The Model 714-001 Enclosure allows
termination of the 16-conductor (60029) cable for linking multi-party handset stations. The wires must
be spade-lugged and connected carefully to the terminal block. An improper termination may result in
diminished station performance.

MOUNTING

There are four .312 inch diameter mounting holes in the four corners of the enclosure (refer to Figure 1).
When mounting the enclosure, use caution to avoid damaging the terminal blocks inside. The suggested
mounting height for all station enclosures is 54 inches (137 cm) to the center of the enclosure.
