After Work
Melt some solder and cover the tip with it. The solder protects the soldering tip
from corrosion while it is not in use. Clean off excess solder with a moistened
sponge after next heating.
Turn the locking mechanism for continuous burning (3) forwards and the flame
goes out.
Before storing, changing the soldering part or soldering tip, let the torch cool
down.
Changing Tool
Ensure that the soldering attachment, soldering tip or torch have cooled down
to room temperature before changing any tools.
For changing the soldering tip, screw the tip off the soldering part by turning
clockwise. Fasten the new soldering tip by turning counter clockwise as far as
it goes. Do not use any tool, hand-screwed is enough.
Flambé und Caramelizing
Use the torch as a flambé or for caramelizing
food in the kitchen. Ignite the torch without
soldering part. Lock it for continuous operation
and push the flame adjustment lever (2) for-
wards. Now the flame is bigger but less inten-
sive.
Heat Shrinking
For shrinking e.g. shrinking tubing, keep the flame in low distance to the tube
and move the torch in and out, to avoid damaging the tube. To avoid warping
only shrink from the middle of the tube to the outside.
