TROUBLESHOOTING
12-8. DC FAN MOTOR (FAN MOTOR/INDOOR CONTROLLER BOARD)
1. CAUTION
• A high voltage is applied to the connector for connection to the fan motor (CNMF).
• Do not unplug the connector CNMF with the unit energized to avoid damage to the indoor control board and fan motor.
2. Troubleshooting
• Symptom: Indoor unit fan does not run.
Indoor controller board fuse (F1)
and fan motor fuse (F2) check
Is the fuse normal?
Yes
Wiring contact check
Contact of fan motor connector (CNMF)
Is there contact failure?
No
Power supply check (Remove the connector (CNMF))
Measure the voltage in the indoor controller circuit board.
TEST POINT
: V
(between 1 (+) and 4 (-) of the fan connector): V
1
DC
TEST POINT
: V
(between 5 (+) and 4 (-) of the fan connector): V
2
CC
Is the voltage normal?
No
Replace the indoor
controller board.
Check the operation.
Fail
Replace the fan motor.
HWE2109A
Is the resistance
No
between the terminals of
drain pump normal?
No
Replace the drain pump.
Yes
Wiring recovery
Yes
Replace the fan motor.
Check the operation of fan.
Fail
Replace the indoor controller board.
OK
END

Replace the fan motor and the fuse (F2).
Yes
Replace the indoor controller board.
