    GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to heed warnings and follow instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep safety warnings and instructions for future reference. The term "power tool" in the safety warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery- operated (cordless) power tool.
  • Page 6 Preparation a) Obtain ear protection and safety glasses. Wear them at all times while operating the machine. b) While operating the machine always wear substantial footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the machine when barefoot or wearing open sandals. Avoid wearing clothing that is loose fitting or that has hanging cords or ties.
  • Page 7 Operation a) Before starting the machine, make certain that the feeding chamber is empty. b) Keep your face and body away from the feed intake opening. c) Do not allow hands or any other part of the body or clothing inside the feeding chamber, discharge chute, or near any moving part.
  • Page 8 i) If the machine becomes clogged, shut-off the power source and disconnect the machine from supply before cleaning debris. j) Never operate the machine with defective guards or shields, or without safety devices, for example debris collector in place. k) Keep the power source clean of debris and other accumulations to prevent damage to the power source or possible fire.
  • Page 9 c) Always allow the machine to cool before storing. d) When servicing the shredding means be aware that, even though the power source is switched off due to the interlock feature of the guard, the shredding means can still be moved. e) Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.

  • Page 16 ASSEMBLY Your new electric blower vacuum requires very little assembly work before it is ready for use. Assembling the tubes 1. Slide the rear blow/suction tube into the suction/blower housing and make sure it fits correctly and is fully inserted Screw the tube with the provided screw (1 and 2). 2.
  • Page 17 Assembling the collection bag support Insert the collection bag support into the collection bag and make sure it fits correctly and is fully inserted. Secure it with the string belt on collection bag has been tightened. Fitting the collection bag Before fitting the collection bag, ensure that the Vacuum/Blower selector lever of the additional adjustable handle operates smoothly and that it is not obstructed by debris from previous use.
  • Page 18 Fitting the shoulder strap The blower vacuum is supplied with a shoulder strap. The shoulder strap should be attached to the top of the main body of the blower vacuum as shown (5.1). The shoulder strap is provided to reduce fatigue and aid comfort when using the blower-vac and can be worn in a position to suit the operator (5.2).
  • Page 19 Use/Operation The easiest way to use the blower vacuum is to place the shoulder strap in a comfortable position over your shoulder and hold the rear handle at hip height so that the majority of the tool’s weight rests on the rollers. When using the blower vacuum to pick up leaves it is best to move the tool on its rollers.

    Collection bag Note: Before you remove and empty the collection bag ensure that the tool has been disconnected from the mains power supply. To empty the collection bag, remove it from the tool and empty it. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Attention! Before performing any work on the equipment, unplug the tool.
