17. Apple CarPlay™
When an iPhone is connected to the unit, Mobile Link
will display the Apple CarPlay UI.
Apple CarPlay™
Initializing Apple CarPlay
Notes:
• The unit will automatically connect to Apple CarPlay when an
Apple device is inserted to the unit.
• Only use the official Lightning to USB cable for Apple
CarPlay. USB cables from other manufacturers will not be fully
supported.
• All Bluetooth features will be disabled when Apple CarPlay is
connected, except for phone calls.
• Only supported applications of CarPlay function are able to
use this mode.

• When head unit is connected to Apple CarPlay, the phone
operations will be using Apple CarPlay phone application.
1. When a new iPhone is connected to the unit via
Lightning to USB cable, Apple CarPlay is immediately
started. Apple CarPlay screen will be automatically
displayed.
2. When a known iPhone is connected to the unit, the
unit does not switch to Apple CarPlay automatically.

1. Press
Apple CarPlay button go to the Apple
CarPlay screen.
2. Press
[Applications] Phone button go to the
"Apple CarPlay telephony" screen.
3. Press Audio Player, Press
go to "Apple CarPlay now playing" screen.
Accessing Apple CarPlay™ screen
(by physical buttons)
1. Please make sure Siri is enabled on the iPhone
before connecting to Apple CarPlay.
2. Press the [VOICE] button on the unit or [VOICE/ TEL
ON] button on the steering wheel trigger Siri voice
recognition. Press the [VOICE] button on the unit or
[VOICE/ TEL ON] button on the steering wheel again
to exit Siri voice recognition and return to the previous
display.

Answering calls by steering wheel remote control
(if equipped)
1. During an incoming call, press the [VOICE/ TEL ON]
button on the steering wheel to answer the call.
2. Press [TEL OFF] to end the call.
Notes:
• The Siri function can be activated by Steering Switch (If
equipped)
Exiting Apple CarPlay™ display
1. Press the [HOME] button to go to the Home Screen.
Switching from Apple CarPlay™ to Applications
1. While an iPhone is connected to the unit by Apple
CarPlay, press the
Home Screen.
2. Upon accepting the confirmation message, the unit
will disconnect from Apple CarPlay and connect to
Applications.
