SCSI REPEATERS 3.3.3 E NSURING ROPER ERMINATION All SCSI buses must be properly terminated at each end. But because the SCSI Repeater essentially ties together two SCSI chains that can each be as long as an entire bus, there has to be extra termination on each side of the Repeater in addition to the standard terminators at each end of the bus. -

Official SCSI specifications limit a single- ended SCSI chain to no more than 6 meters (19.7 feet) long. Practical experience says the shorter the better. The maximum length you should allow between devices is 3 feet (about 1 meter). -
